Dear Henrico Citizen reader,
We need you. The Citizen is powered by your support. Without it, quite simply, we won’t exist.
We’ve just launched our “Drive for 500” because we need 500 people to join our Citizen Collective membership program by the end of the year so that we can continue serving our community with comprehensive, fair and meaningful coverage that helps connect you with Henrico County five days a week.
Membership comes with a number of benefits – including (at the top level) the chance to designate a nonprofit to receive 15 days of free advertising with the Citizen. You’ll also receive access to an annual members-only event, a members-only online forum, opportunities to interact with our staff, and more. And your membership will help us keep ALL of our coverage free for everyone, as it has been for our entire 21-year history.
Without trustworthy local journalism like ours, communities become less and less engaged. Personal narratives slant and bend, and it’s harder for us to tell fact from fiction – and more difficult for us to succeed together.
It doesn’t have to be this way.
