Virginia’s first Youth Crisis Receiving Center opens in Henrico
When children or teens experience a mental health crisis, often the first place they go is a crowded hospital emergency room, where they wait hours until receiving care. Now, Henrico will have a space dedicated for youngsters who need immediate mental health services.
The Youth Crisis Receiving Center opened Feb. 29 with a ribbon-cutting held by Henrico County officials and leaders from St. Joseph’s Villa, a children’s nonprofit that provides health services and other supports. Click here to read more
Police arrest 2, seek third suspect in connection to Lakeside homicide
Two people were arrested and a third remained on the run in connection to the murder of a Henrico County teenager.
Aidan Christopher Cameron, 18, of Henrico County, was found with gunshot wounds behind an apartment building along the 1600 block of Lakeside Avenue on February 26, 2024, according to police. Click here to read more
