U.S. Secretary of Education applauds Henrico Schools reopening plans
Glen Allen High School is an example of what the U.S. Secretary of Education wants to see in schools across the nation.
“I’m seeing signs of recovery as a country,” said Secretary Miguel Cardona Wednesday during a visit to the school. “When you hear band playing, and you hear kids laughing and giggling as they’re practicing volleyball.”
New COVID-19 cases in Henrico drop Wednesday
New COVID-19 cases in Henrico dropped to 67 Wednesday, down from 86 Tuesday and 81 Monday. The county is now averaging 89 new daily cases during the past seven days, according to Virginia Department of Health data.
The county witnessed three new COVID-related hospitalizations Wednesday as well, the most on a single day since three were reported Aug. 6.
