Tuckahoe Little League complex project moving forward despite setbacks
Despite numerous setbacks, Henrico’s Tuckahoe Little League complex renovation project is still in the works.
After a bond referendum including $16 million for the project was approved by voters in 2016, the county created a plan to improve numerous aspects of the complex, such as revamping fields, creating a new main entrance, building new restrooms and batting cages, and more. The project initially was set to be completed sometime this summer.

Taylor Farm Park opens in Sandston
Despite the hot temperatures, dozens turned out for Tuesday’s ribbon-cutting at Taylor Farm Park in Sandston. The 20-acre park is nestled among what used to be 99-acres of eastern Henrico farmland owned by the Taylor family since the 1850s. Click here to read more

Citizen adds Roarty as director of revenue
The Henrico Citizen has added Ian Roarty as its full-time director of revenue, effective this month. Roarty joins the Citizen with experience as a regional and national business advisor and account manager with several local and national companies, including most recently Zillow Group. In his role with the Citizen, Roarty will work with businesses in a consulting role to help connect them with the Henrico community through the Citizen’s various platforms and partnership opportunities.
Roarty is a Henrico native who majored in political science at VCU. He has a passion for understanding and for helping his hometown flourish. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors, riding his motorcycle and reading.
