Henrico Schools announces each school’s ‘Teacher of the Year’
Henrico County Public Schools officials have announced the teachers of the year for each school in the system, as well as five finalists – one in each magisterial district – for the HCPS Teacher of the Year title, which will be announced Tuesday at 4 p.m. during a virtual event that also will recognize the system’s First-Year Teacher of the Year.
Henrico native Lynch makes Major League Baseball debut for the Kansas City Royals
For the second time in less than a month, a Henrico native has made his debut at the highest level of professional sports.
Douglas Freeman High School graduate Daniel Lynch, a left-handed starting pitcher who also attended the University of Virginia, made his Major League Baseball debut Monday night for the Kansas City Royals, pitching into the fifth inning against the Cleveland Indians at Kansas City’s Kauffman Stadium.
