Richmond Raceway reopening as mass vaccination site
Richmond Raceway will restart its mass vaccination efforts Oct. 12, this time as a state-operated community vaccination center, Richmond and Henrico Health Districts officials announced Thursday.
The site will reopen Oct. 12 and be open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. to offer the initial vaccination series of Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson vaccines for those who are unvaccinated and Pfizer booster shots for those who are eligible.
25th Annual Glen Allen Day planned Oct. 9
The Glen Allen Ruritan Club will host the 25th annual Glen Allen Day Saturday, Oct. 9 at Meadow Farm Museum at Crump Park, with the theme “25 Years of Bringing Glen Allen Together.”
The Glen Allen Ruritans work with Henrico Recreation and Parks to organize the event, which is one of the largest festivals in the county.
