Resurrecting an old mall, a forgotten industry, and the aspirations of Henrico adults who always wanted to ‘do more’
Henrico’s new Regency Center is unconventional.
It’s an adult education facility, but it’s not located in a school, or a church, or even an office building. It’s located inside a shopping mall.
Not only that, but it’s practically a mini shopping mall itself. The center is one long hallway inside flanked by different storefronts – but instead of showcasing shoes or dresses, each storefront represents a different industry that’s hiring and a potential job offer. Click here to read more
Aug. 29 public meeting to address Messer Road trail connector in Varina
The proposed Messer Road trail connector, a 0.4-mile 12-foot-wide shared use path designed to connect Varina High School to the Virginia Capital Trail at Route 5, will be the focus of a public meeting Tuesday, Aug. 29, at the Varina Area Library. The meeting, hosted by the Henrico Department of Public Works, will take place from 5 p.m. to 6:40 p.m. Click here to read more
