Henrico County held its annual Red, White and Lights celebration July 4 at Meadow Farm in Glen Allen, featuring live music and entertainment, including a performance by the Richmond Symphony, preceding a laser light show.

Police in Hollywood, Florida July 1 arrested a 20-year-old Richmond man and a juvenile from Chesterfield who were wanted in connection to several automobile thefts and related crimes in Henrico, Richmond and Chesterfield.

Tiniko Johnson teaches office administration, economics and personal finance to students at Varina High School. Her favorite part of teaching is her students, she said, adding that providing them with the support they need for academic success is her main priority.
“They are the reason for my growth as an educator,” she said. “Interacting with these young adults, watching them grow throughout their transitions in grade level is rewarding.”
