Owner of gun used in Lucia Bremer murder faces misdemeanor charge

The registered owner of the gun allegedly used by a 14-year-old suspect to murder 13-year-old Quioccasin Middle School student Lucia Bremer in March has been charged with a misdemeanor count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Henrico County Commonwealth’s Attorney Shannon Taylor announced Friday that 52-year-old Richard M. Pierce faces the charge.

Social media threat to Varina High “non-credible,” police say

There was an extra presence of police and administrators at Varina High School on Friday following the discovery of a social media threat made toward the school.

A juvenile posted a photo of three guns and named Varina High School in the post, according to Henrico Police.
