Delegates Adams, Bagby retain party nominations as voters mostly stay home in primary elections
Henrico voters – the few who showed up Tuesday or cast absentee ballots – helped determine party nominees for Virginia House of Delegates races in three districts and for the top three statewide candidates on the Democratic ticket during Virginia’s primary election.
In the House of Delegates races involving the county, two incumbents – Democrats Dawn Adams (68th District) and Lamont Bagby (74th District) – claimed their party nominations easily and will attempt to win third terms this fall.
Henrico eyes ‘transformational’ moves with federal pandemic funding for education, infrastructure, other projects
Henrico officials shared a “good news tour” of updates about federal community project funding and transportation project funding submissions with the Henrico Board of Supervisors at a work session on Tuesday afternoon.
Mike Schnurman, assistant to the county manager and Henrico’s legislative liaison, summarized current projects that Henrico legislators and leaders have focused on as the country renewed its look at infrastructure as a mechanism to economic development.

Henrico’s Top Teachers – Kellen Jones, JR Tucker High School
During his senior year at Virginia Commonwealth University, Kellen Jones attended a workshop about exceptional education.
