New state assessment shows majority of Henrico students in grades 3-5 are behind on math knowledge
Fewer than half of Henrico County Public Schools students in grades 3-5 have a good baseline knowledge of last year’s grade-level math content, while only 41% of third-graders are up to speed on reading content from last year, according to results from a new state-mandated growth assessment test administered this fall.
New COVID-19 cases rising again in Henrico
New COVID-19 cases are on the rise in Henrico, following a steady three-month decline.
Average new daily cases in the county have been rising for the past week – from 36 Nov. 16 to 52 Monday, according to Virginia Department of Health data – and have pushed Henrico back into the “high” transmission level after two weeks in the “substantial” level.
