New COVID cases in Henrico at 6-month low; more walk-in vaccination opportunities this month

New COVID-19 cases in Henrico hit lowest level since October
The number of new daily COVID-19 cases in Henrico County during the most recent seven-day period is at its lowest level since Oct. 23 last year.
Henrico is witnessing just 32 new confirmed cases each day, according to data from the Virginia Department of Health. Since reporting 81 new cases April 18, Henrico has witnessed more than 60 cases on a single day only once, and this month, new case counts have been at 34 or lower each day except May 1 (when 54 cases were reported).
Walk-up COVID-19 vaccination events planned at Virginia Union
The Richmond and Henrico Health Districts will begin offering walk-up COVID-19 vaccinations at a second site – Virginia Union University in the city’s Northside – on selected days this month beginning May 7.
