Latter Day Saints’ Henrico temple is now complete; here’s a look inside
The Richmond temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, under construction for nearly three years at 10915 Staples Mill Road (at the corner of Mountain Road) in Glen Allen, is now complete and will host public tours beginning later this week.
The design of the two-story, 36,000-square-foot temple was meticulously selected to include a number of Virginia themes, such as dogwood blossoms and architectural elements common in the state, according to church officials.
Henrico Police: Shots fired in West End; 1 suspect critically injured, other apprehended
Two suspects, one of them critically injured, have been apprehended after shots were fired in Henrico’s busy West End Sunday afternoon, according to authorities.
Officers were called to the 4000 block of Cox Road near Innsbrook around 4:40 p.m. for a larceny-related call, officials with Henrico Police said.
