Investigation Discovery show ‘Reasonable Doubt’ to examine 2014 Henrico murder

A 2014 Henrico murder will be the focus of the July 26 episode of Reasonable Doubt, a series on Investigation Discovery that examines controversial murder cases nationally.

The show will air at 10 p.m. EST and will feature an examination of the murder of Lakeside resident Roy Fuller and subsequent conviction of his longtime friend, Bruce Walton.

Henrico’s Haas finishes 12th in 200M freestyle semifinal at Tokyo Olympics

Henrico native Townley Haas finished 12th in the semifinals of the 200-meter freestyle men’s swimming competition at the Tokyo Olympics, just missing a chance to advance to the finals of the event in his second Olympic appearance. The top eight swimmers advanced and will compete Wednesday morning in Japan (Tuesday night in the U.S.)

Henrico native Lynch earns first MLB win for Royals

Henrico native and Freeman High School graduate Daniel Lynch earned the first win of his Major League Baseball career Sunday, pitching eight shutout innings as the Royals defeated the Detroit Tigers, 6-1. Lynch, who pitched collegiately at the University of Virginia, struck out four and walked none, while allowing only five hits to stymie the Tigers, who had won seven of their previous nine games.
