How Henrico Schools officials are handling student behavioral problems on buses
Students have violated behavioral standards on Henrico County school buses more than 830 times during the current school year, and those incidents have resulted in disciplinary action slightly more than two-thirds of the time, according to data obtained by the Henrico Citizen.
The data shows that the most behavioral violations involving students at a single school between August 2022 and March 24 – 74 – occurred on buses that serve Hungary Creek Middle School.
Henrico County donates to Children’s Hospital of Richmond
Henrico County employees recently donated more than $25,000 to donate to Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU.
Henrico officials formally made the donation of $25,144 to hospital officials. Donations like the county’s helped fund the construction of CHoR’s new Children’s Tower, which recently opened and now will offer emergency, trauma and inpatient care, as well as the region’s only Level 1 trauma center.
