Henrico’s Teigen leaving for Powhatan superintendent’s role
Henrico Schools Chief of Staff Beth Teigen is leaving the school system to become the superintendent of the public school system in Powhatan County, where she lives. The Powhatan County School Board voted unanimously at its June 14 meeting to hire her to the new role, affective July 1.
U.S. Department of Transportation awards $58M grant for Richmond-Raleigh rail corridor program
The U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded a $58 million grant to both the Virginia Passenger Rail Authority and North Carolina Department of Transportation in support of the Raleigh to Richmond Corridor Infrastructure Engineering & Safety Program, officials announced recently.
