Henrico teen wins swimming gold for Team USA at international event

Douglas Freeman High School sophomore and NOVA of Virginia Aquatics swimmer Nathan Szobota won a gold medal at his first international competition representing Team USA during an event in Seychelles, off the East Coast of Africa.

Nuckols Farm Elementary School named a national ‘Blue Ribbon School’ for the second time

Nuckols Farm Elementary School has been named a 2022 Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education, an honor that it also earned in 2012, making it the only school in the division to be honored twice. The designation was announced Friday morning by U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona.
