Henrico supervisors amend county’s noise ordinance
The Henrico Board of Supervisors voted unanimously earlier this month to amend the county’s noise ordinance to limit daytime noise in residential areas from stereos, televisions, musical instruments, and similar devices.
The amended noise ordinance allows county police to issue fines of up to $500 to residents using “sound producing devices” that can be heard in the dwelling of a neighboring residence.
Chesterfield man dies after being struck by car in Henrico
A 52-year-old Chesterfield County man has died after being struck by a car in Eastern Henrico County Sept. 24.
The victim, Alberto Gutierrez, was walking near the intersection of Nine Mile Road and Kenway Avenue just before 8:40 p.m. when he was struck by a Ford Focus.
