Welcome to the 10th (mostly) annual edition of the Henrico Citizen’s Henrico’s Top Teachers section. We had to skip 2020 because the pandemic threw our usual timeline for this section off course, but we’re back this year to highlight the work and efforts of 20 outstanding teachers in Henrico County from the pre-K through high school levels.

Nearly a year after first proposing the creation of a civilian review board for Henrico County, Varina District Supervisor Tyrone Nelson is withdrawing the concept after sensing that a majority of the Board of Supervisors wouldn’t support the specific type of CRB he wants, he told the Citizen.
