Henrico obtains $69M for 5 major road projects
Some Henrico residents may see their flood insurance rates change when the county adopts new Federal Emergency Management Agency flood maps April 25. The county’s board of supervisors officially approved the maps at their Tuesday meeting.
Henrico is required to use these maps to remain a part of the FEMA national flood insurance program.
The board also approved agreements with the Central Virginia Transportation Authority to help fund several transportation projects. Click here to read more
New members of Citizen Advisory Board named
The Henrico Citizen has named the new members of its Citizen Advisory Board – 15 Henricoans who will serve one- or two-year volunteer terms to provide input, ideas and feedback about the Citizen’s coverage and operations.
The Citizen created the advisory board in 2021 as a way to deepen its connections within the county and ensure that open lines of communication exist between communities and groups from all corners of Henrico. Click here to read more
