Family, Henrico Education Foundation launch Julia Budzinski Memorial Scholarship Fund
The family of Julia Budzinski, a 17-year-old Glen Allen High School student who died in a boating accident in the James River July 2, has established a scholarship fund in cooperation with the Henrico Education Foundation.
Henrico remains in ‘high’ COVID-19 community level designation
Henrico County remains in the high community level designation for COVID-19, according to U.S. Centers for Disease Control metrics, with cases and virus-related hospitalizations up slightly in the county during the past week.

When Kent Dohrman started college, he majored in communications and had thoughts of becoming a broadcast journalist.
But after working as a YMCA camp counselor over his summer breaks, Dohrman’s career goals took a turn.
“I realized,” he recalls, “that [working with children] was what I wanted to do with my future.”
