ELECTION 2023: Henrico Sheriff – Harold Ford (independent) vs. Alisa Gregory (Democrat)
Running as an independent, Harold Ford will challenge incumbent Democrat Alisa Gregory for her position as Henrico sheriff in November. Gregory is seeking her second term in office after winning the position in the 2019 election with 56.1% of the vote. Her Republican challenger Bob Matson received 30.9% of the vote, while independent challenger Tom Wadkins received 12.7%. Click here to read more
ELECTION 2023: Varina District Supervisor – Tyrone Nelson (Democrat)
Varina District Supervisor Tyrone Nelson is running unopposed for his fourth four-year term on the Henrico Board of Supervisors. Nelson, a Democrat, first was elected in 2011, then re-elected in 2015 and 2019. He serves as the pastor of Sixth Mount Zion Baptist Church in Richmond. Click here to read more

Could you ask all the candidates what they will do to fix the problem of not having enough Fire Dept ambulances in the County. Every week the fire department has periods of "NUA" no units available to respond to EMS calls. There are five stations, (8, 10, 17, 18, & 21), that do not have ambulances. Over 85% of all the calls fore service are EMS. Tuckahoe Volunteer Rescue Squad has not been staffing units like they used to to cover these areas.
