Brookland Supervisor Schmitt formally announces re-election campaign
Brookland District Supervisor Dan Schmitt has formally announced his intention to seek re-election to the seat this year.
Schmitt, a Republican, initially won a special election in 2018 to serve the remainder of the term of former supervisor Courtney Lynch, a Democrat who herself had served only about seven months after winning a special election in November 2017 to fill the remaining portion of longtime Republican supervisor Dick Glover’s seat after his death that February.
Bridge rehabilitation project on Skipwith, Pemberton roads to begin
The Virginia Department of Transportation will install temporary signals at each end of the Skipwith Road bridge over I-64 in Henrico County as part of upcoming bridge rehabilitations beginning Tuesday, April 11.
Two-way traffic flow will be allowed by alternating the direction of the traffic via temporary signals on the approaches to the bridge.
