An introduction from Henrico’s new education reporter
Hello to all of Henrico! I am so excited to be the Citizen’s new education reporter.
I grew up in Arlington and attended Arlington Public Schools before going to college in Washington, D.C. My mom has been a high school counselor in Fairfax County, Virginia for the past 20 years and from her I have witnessed how much dedication and passion it takes to be a public school educator and the impact educators can have on students and their families.
Richmond International Airport named most efficient small airport in North America
Richmond International Airport has earned the Most Efficient Airport in North America award from the Air Transport Research Society for North American airports with fewer than 5 million passengers annually. The award was announced July 2 at the organization’s 26th World Conference in Kobe, Japan. It was RIC’s first win from ATRS, recognized as one of the most reputable aviation research societies in the world.
