6 Henrico students honored during Scholar-Athlete Awards ceremony
Student athletes from five Henrico schools were among the 20 from the Richmond region honored at the annual Times-Dispatch/Sports Backers Scholar-Athlete Awards ceremony June 7.
The event was held virtually online. Top honors and $5,750 scholarships went to Michael Bourne of Cosby High School and Ellie Horner of St. Catherine’s School. The $3,500 runners’ up scholarships went to Elvin Edmonds, IV of Hopewell and Caroline Bowe of Midlothian.
Far West End business center sells
A business center in Henrico’s Far West End has been sold to a Maryland-based firm.
Deep Run Business Centre I & II, located at 3955-3991 Deep Rock Road, just off West Broad Street west of Gaskins Road, includes 88,118 square feet of space in a two-building layout.

Jocelyn Henry-Whitehead knows fear firsthand. She understands trauma, because she’s lived it. Pain? She’s felt its crushing weight at the most inopportune times, too.
