14-year-old Henrico shooting suspect faces additional charges
The juvenile charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of 13-year-old Quioccasin Middle School student Lucia Bremer is now facing three additional charges after a status hearing on Monday.
Two of the additional charges relate to the second victim — the 12-year-old girl who was with Bremer when she was shot and killed March 26 in Henrico’s Far West End.
Cases of COVID spiking in Henrico children, teens – but hospitalizations remain rare
Children and young adults in Henrico contracted COVID-19 at much higher rates in July than they did in May or June, but only one county resident under the age of 20 was hospitalized because of the virus in July, according to data from the Virginia Department of Health analyzed by the Henrico Citizen.
